Workspaces and roles
How Zylar workspaces isolate each client's data, why workspaces and teammates are unlimited, how roles go down to client view-only, and what Agency adds.
A workspace is the top-level container in Zylar. Each one holds its own domains, inboxes, sequences, leads and replies, isolated from every other workspace. Agencies use one workspace per client. Workspaces, teammates and inboxes are unlimited on every plan, and there's no per-seat pricing.
One workspace per client
If you run cold email for several clients, create a workspace for each. Everything a client needs lives inside their workspace:
- Sending domains and their DNS checks
- Inboxes, warm-up and health scores
- Sequences and their stats
- Leads
- Replies
Keeping clients separate means one client's domains, lists and results never mix with another's, and you can hand a client access to their own workspace without exposing anyone else's.
If you only send for your own company, a single workspace is enough. You can add more later.
Data isolation
Each client is isolated in its own workspace. This extends to the API: API keys are scoped to one workspace, so a key created for one client can only read and change that client's leads, sequences, inboxes and stats. A request for a resource that exists in a different workspace returns 404 not_found.
If you manage several workspaces through the API, create a separate key in each. Keys are created in Settings → API. See API reference: Authentication.
Webhook subscriptions are created with an API key, and each key belongs to one workspace. If you want events from every client, create a subscription in each workspace.
Unlimited workspaces, teammates and inboxes
Every plan includes:
| Included | Limit |
|---|---|
| Workspaces | Unlimited |
| Teammates (seats) | Unlimited |
| Inboxes | Unlimited |
| Campaigns | Unlimited |
There's no per-seat pricing, so adding an SDR, an account manager or a client contact doesn't change your bill. Your plan is priced on monthly email volume. See Plans and billing.
Roles
Roles control what each person in a workspace can see and do. They go all the way down to client view-only, so you can give a client visibility into their own campaigns without letting them change anything.
Typical uses:
- Your team gets the access it needs to run campaigns, manage inboxes and work replies in the Unibox.
- Clients get view-only access to their own workspace, so they can follow progress without editing sequences or settings.
Use Unibox assignment to route individual leads to specific teammates.
Agency plan features
The Agency plan adds features built for running many clients:
| Feature | What it means |
|---|---|
| Dedicated IP pools | Isolated, single-tenant sending, so other senders can't drag your reputation down. Growth and Scale use a premium shared pool. |
| White-label | Present the product under your own brand to clients. |
| Private Slack channel | Direct support from engineers who run cold email. |
| Migration help | Help moving your existing setup to Zylar. |
